The theme for the week in the Hot Wheels world was Zamac. Batch G hit Walmarts hard this week, and the three Zamac exclusives in this batch have proven much more popular that the last batch of three.
And driving that popularity is the Zamac R34 Skyline. I love seeing this, especially since it is accompanying two very nice looking Chevrolets. Nonetheless, the Skylines have been snatched up quickly, including by us Lamley dudes. Here is our week of finds:
Yes, you are looking at 16 Zamac Skylines. That is a lot. We probably left another 20 for other collectors, but we have good reason for picking these up. We are hoping to give a few of these away to overseas collectors who don't have access to the Walmart exclusives. And as much as US collectors are growing on Japanese cars, it really is not cool to see our friends overseas not have access to this model. So we are planning to give one or two away every time our Facebook page passes the hundred mark. That means 2200, 2300, 2400, etc. Every time we hit one of those numbers, we throw up a post and draw a winner. If that person lives in the US, we redraw. We want to give these to those that have no access. Keep checking back on our Facebook Page to see when we draw. It might be soon, considering we are 16 Likes away from 2200...
You might see another model of interest. Yes, we got lucky and found a Super Bone Shaker as well. That was found here:
A semi-fresh BOD. I was told by an employee that collectors had already been through it, and that was apparent by the rows of cars behind the bin, and the lack of regular hunts after a quick perusal. But I like to find variations, to a little hunting I did. And sure enough, at the very bottom, was one missed Super Bone Shaker:
And a close-up:
That makes me 4 for 7 on Super Treasure Hunts found. I never found the El Camino, Falcon, or Super Snake. But maybe I get lucky later.
There was one other vari in the bunch, but I left it:
Not too interested in the Dieselboy.
So no other variation or error finds. I am sure there were some I passed right by, but that is how it goes...

The Leftovers: This week's finds, variations, and other models that didn't make the cut...
Week 2 of the Leftovers. I think last week there was more to show, especially with my first Super find since before Christmas. This week most of my finds came towards the end, as my schedule was quite busy and did not permit me to hit a lot of stores earlier. I still did pretty well.
On Friday I found myself near a couple of Walmarts that I normally don't visit, so I had a look. I am glad I did.
Both stores had pretty picked-over Bins of Death, and you could tell by the condition of the cards that these bins had been thoroughly picked over by quite a few hands. So how they missed these two errors is beyond me:
No-side-tampos Classic Batmobile:
All-small-wheels Nova Wagon:
The no-side-tampo Batmobile stuck out like a sore thumb. It is a very unique find, and one you would think would have been discovered by the Hunt-seekers. But alas, they might have been a little too focused on finding Hunts. The all-small-wheels Nova Wagon could be a little harder to spot, but luckily it was hanging out on the top of the pile and I was able to see it right away.
That second Walmart also yielded the next batch of Retro Entertainment:
Lastly, a First Look that I never got to, the blue Subaru WRX STI, with both wheel variations. I think both the 10sp and MC5 will be fairly common. 10sp is the early run and MC5 the later.

The Leftovers: This week's finds, varis, and models that didn't make the cut...
As we go throughout the week here at Lamley, we are always deciding what to show on the blog and what to leave off. We have numerous models set aside for our occasional Model of the Day feature, some articles we are putting together, and of course a smattering of new models that we like to show here first.
But that leaves a lot on the cutting room floor. Sometimes we find a model, like the green Kool Kombi, that has been out for awhile and has been seen by everyone. We will share it on our Facebook Page, but it doesn't seem too prudent to dedicate an entire post to it at that point. The same goes for Treasure Hunts and other new models. Other times we find some errors or variations that maybe don't merit an entire post.
But with all that, we are repeatedly asked to through said models into the Lamley photo studio and give them the Lamley Treatment.
So if there was a week full of a lot of activity, that following Saturday we will throw together a post we will call The Leftovers. Just a hodge-podge of finds, photos, variations, and other tidbits. It might bore you, it might be something you were looking for, but it is here for your enjoyment.
So let's get on with it:
The Leftovers:
The Kmart exclusives, two of which I have no idea of what they are called.
The Target Easter Speedster 5-packs. Still no word if any of these are exclusive. My guess is it is a mix of mainlines and multipack cars. Note the error on the '70 Camaro:
We will feature several of these next week in First Looks, including the Z06, Ranchero, Infiniti, COPO Camaro, and the Ford Falcon Race Car. A little preview:
Some variations:
Olds 442 Donk with red-lipped wheels, found at Kmart and Target:
Falken Cuda without green hood stripe, found at Kmart:
with a couple of photos:
Plus a couple of current models I opened:
Kool Kombi. I finally found a couple in a Smith's shipper, and can open one. We will do a more extensive feature when we have the orange recolor:
Flintmobile. Not my cup of dino tea:
Ferrari Enzo recolor:
My Treasure Hunt finds for the week:
Buick Riviera Super, found at Walmart (my first Super find in awhile):
Lincoln Continental reg Treasure Hunt, two found at Walmart and two found at Kmart:
And lastly, two variation acquisitions that we will feature later:
2006 FE AE86 Corolla with 3sp wheels:
2010 FE Lamborghini Gallardo with 10sp (I found one in a 10-pack when it was out, but I wanted one carded):
