Lamley Case Report: Opening a Hot Wheels US M Case...

Here we go again.

We continue to get great feedback from everyone about these case reports, so we will keep doing them.  We have gotten the question on what we do with these cases we open.  Well, obviously there are some models we keep.  Interestingly, it is not many, usually 5 to 7 out of the 72.  The rest go back in the case, are sealed up, and donated to local hospitals through Lamley Charities, which is run by my 13-year-old daughter.  We are very happy to see these put to good use, outside of providing the info you readers crave.  We may expand Lamley Charities someday, so if you have extra models you want to put to good use, stay tuned.

Alright, back to the M case.  As always, we got this case from Grana Toys, and as always, Grana is offering this case to Lamley readers at a special discount.  All you need to do is use the promo code "Lamley" at checkout and the discount will apply.  But remember, this only applies to cases purchased on the Grana Toys website, which can be found here:

Of course if you prefer to purchase an M case on ebay, you can do that here:

And make sure you act fast, as there are only a few cases left.

Alright on with the report.  Here is all 72 models as we pulled them, 3 by 3.

Enjoy...

The M Case:

The first 36:

The next 36:

(James Bond Alert)

There it is.  No Super this time, but some of you might get lucky in your case.  Let us know if you do.  For us, the 370Z (1 per case), Aston Martin DB5, and LaFerrari take the cake for us.

Maybe not the strongest case this year, but N is coming (Kenmeri, BMW E36, COPO Camaro, and Zamac Hakosuka to name a few).  There is always something to look forward to...

Hot Wheels US M Cases are now available at Grana Toys, with a special Lamley discount...

That's a lot of M cases (among many):

And they are now available to you.  Grana Toys has the US cases in stock and ready to ship, you just need to buy one.  There are two ways:

  1. Go to the Grana Toys website and buy one.  And BE SURE to use the promo code "Lamley" at checkout to get a special discount.
  2. You can go to the Grana Toys eBay store and order it there.  Unfortunately there is no Lamley discount available for eBay purchases.
This case has some great models, most notably the James Bond Aston Martin, grey LaFerrari, Nissan 370Z, and the purple '69 Corvette Super.  We have one coming later this week and will be sure to do a Lamley Case Report as soon as we have it.

As we have said before, we don't care too much about International vs US case models, but we do prefer buying US cases for the sole reason that getting a Super is much more likely.  Not guaranteed, but better.

Whoever does buy a case, let us know if you are so lucky...

Lamley Case Report: Opening a Hot Wheels L Case (and a special deal for Lamley Readers)...

We are really starting to look forward to this...

On the heels of our K Case Report, we have another case to break down for you.  Our Hot Wheels L Case arrived from Grana Toys on Saturday, and in Lamley fashion, we photographed everything as it was pulled.

Before we start the report, remember the Grana Toys has SEALED Hot Wheels L Cases for sale as we speak, and if you buy on their website and use the promo code "LAMLEY", you can get a special discount.  Just follow the link:

If you would like to use eBay, they are available there as well, although the Lamley discount does not apply:

And hurry, there are only 7 cases left last we looked...

So here it is, our unabridged photo account of the what is in our 2014 Hot Wheels US L Case, pulled three models at a time:

Enjoy...

The case:

(crack.)

The first 36:

New Model Alert - Poppa Wheelie

The next 36:

New Model Alert - '14 Corvette Stingray

Treasure Hunt Alert

Recolor Alert - Fast Bed Hauler

So there it is.  All 72 models.  Our thoughts:

  • Once again, no Super, but that is ok.  The Super in this case is the '76 Greenwood Corvette, and if you read Lamley, you know that it is one of our favorite models.  So we made sure we already had one, and we gave it the First Look treatment last week.  The mainline version is great on its own:
  • The New Models in this case are heavy on Hot Wheels originals, with the '14 Corvette Stingray  being the exception. (First Look pics coming soon.)  As far as the originals go, the Poppa Wheelie will garner a lot of curiosity, but the Fast Bed Hauler should be the most popular.
  • The heavy amount of non-licensed models is made up for with easily one of the best Regular Treasure Hunts of the year, the Custom El Camino.  We have seen a lot of Regs left behind.  That will probably not be the case with this one.
  • As far as existing castings making their 2014 debut, we think the '99 Mustang and Mooneyes Beetle will be the most popular, outside of that Supercool Greenwood.
  • The L Case will also have Zamac Exclusives at Walmart.  Look for the Chevelle Wagon, Lincoln Continental, and Custom '69 Chevy.
We want to see what you get.  Those of you who are lucky enough to buy a case from Grana, let us know what you get.  Maybe one of you will be lucky enough to pull a Super...
