Ah, the Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa. A dominant road racer, an unconventional look, a tremendously valuable car, and now a very cool-looking Kyosho.
Kyosho, like most of us, has a thing for Ferraris. They have done several several Ferrari series, and the latest, the series 8 Neo, spans time from this car all the way to the 458 Italia and 599XX.
I have gotten several questions about Kyosho. I am fairly new to the brand as well, and the more I learn about their series, the more I wish I would have jumped on board a long time ago. Here is an overview on current Kyosho from Felix at DaboxToys Model Cars:
The second line is called the Sunkus K Collection which is still in production and hugely popular worldwide. These models are sold exclusively in Japan in the Sunkus K store and have become quite hard-to-find model as they are often sold out instantly. Over 50 different series have been produced (average one new series introduced every 1-2 months). Almost all models come in a "blind box" where you don't know what is inside until you open the box - a common aspect for Japanese toys. Some of the recent series include a "secret model" (eg. treasure hunt) which is extremely rare.I now have a few Kyosho models in my collection, and have already featured the KPGC10 Skyline, and although not a Kyosho, the Pagani Huayra promotional model that was produced in the Kyosho factory. And there will be a lot more in the future, including more Ferraris, Toyota 86s, Hondas, Porsches, GT-Rs, and on and on. The more you get exposed to these models, the more you want them.
And tonight it is the Testa Rossa.
One last thing, Felix at DaboxToys has a few of these, and is offering the Blue and Silver models right now at $4.99 each. That is a crazy price for a Kyosho, and would be a good way to get exposed to the brand.
And if you haven't already, it is worth perusing the Daboxtoys site, or their ebay store. There is new stuff up almost daily, and there is a good chance you will find something you like. And remember, through September, use the promo code "Lamley" at checkout for a 7.5% discount on your entire order.
As always, be the first to see what is new at the Lamley Group by following us on Facebook. Follow this link or hit "Like" in the Facebook box just to your right.
